SB 15-242 directs additional funding to counties in addition to the Child Welfare Block for the specific purpose of hiring new child welfare staff. This funding is for new county child welfare staff (salaries, benefits, and operating expenses) hired after January 1, 2015.
-
These funds are allocated to counties pursuant to a formula approved by the Child Welfare Allocation Committee.
